On the morning of May 31, Deputy Secretary of China Environment Federation Keqin Lv visited the special loving education station of College of Horticulture, accompanied by Minister of Science and Technology Consulting Services Qingbao Zheng, project officer Lei Gao, Youth League Secretary Zhenbo Xia, Deputy Party Secretary of College of Horticulture Jian Han. Deputy Party Secretary of Yueyahu Street Party Working Committee Pu Lv, and chief of the special loving education station Baozhen Qu received Keqin Lv and his delegation.
Keqin Lv and his party went into the station to see the kids and volunteer students of College of Horticulture who were having the activity of “Together Celebrating the Children’s Day”. He extended his sincere wishes to the kids, wishing them a happy life and a healthy body. He also expressed solicitude for the volunteers. Then he listened to the report on the work of the special loving education station from the person in charge and the story that volunteer groups from College of Horticulture of Nanjing Agricultural University made unremitting service for the children for seventeen years on end. After hearing the report, Keqin Lv spoke highly of the fruitful results the special loving education station had achieved, and fully affirmed the way of communities and schools together helping vulnerable children in which officials of Yueyahu Street and Nanjing Agricultural University worked together over the years. He suggested Street Committee and our school conscientiously sum up this model, demonstrate and promote it on a larger scale. He said that China Environment Federation in the future would fully support the work of special loving education station in advocacy, funding and projects so as to further expand the social impact of special loving education station and make due contributions for social harmony and stability.
Before the investigation, Keqin Lv and his party also visited the College of Horticulture to see their environmental volunteer activities of “exchange waste for plants in the communities” and signed on the banners.
It is reported that China Environment Federation has signed a “Cooperation Agreement of Youth Environmental Practice Base” with Yueyahu Street and awarded the special loving education station “CEF Youth Environmental Practice Base”.
