Professor JIAN ZHANG first made a lecture, and briefly described the convenient production and broad applications of flax and hemp in Canada. And there is study suggests that this kind of fat can reduce the risk of contracting cardiovascular disease as well as some cancers, which has a significant role for human health. Subsequently, Professor MICHAEL DEYHOLOS made a report entitled ‘Accelerating discoveries in plant science through genomics’, during which he introduced ONEKP.COM transcriptome database, then with focusing on the IDPS (intrinsically disordered proteins), he described how to reduce the fibers in flax through a series of detailed experiments.
